Zeiss (aka "Otto")

Zafferano - Rff The Alchemist xx - Damon Hill

Zeiss (nickname: Otto) was born on the 2nd of May 2018. He is a stunning palomino by the Swedish warmblood Zafferano out of our Westphalian mare Alizee. His breeding is impeccable! Taking a closer look at his pedigree reveals all the big names such as Donnerhall, Rubinstein, Damon Hill, Zack, Jazz, Rousseau, Ferro, Bernstein, Chagall, Solos Landtinus... All either in the Top 100 sires of the WBFSH dressage ranking, the German dressage index or competing at grand prix level. Even the thouroughbred lines he is carrying, adding the long legs and elegant looks, include an FEI dressage stallion "Glitter Please xx" who competed at Intermediare level and trained up to Grand Prix! Otto's ancestors not only excelled at dressage, but also proved themselves as showjumpers. Siblings of the granddam Deep Purple won over €20.000 in showjumping and produced an FEI CSI2* winning show jumper. Ottos eldest sister (two years older than him) has proven herself in her first competition season, getting placed at young horse classes, including young showjumpers, "Eignung (suitability as ridden horse)" and eventing. She even got places amongst the top 10 high potential future eventers at the westphaliamn championships in 2021. His one year older sister Emilia is alöso proving to be an absolute gem under saddle, putting a smile on her new owners face every day.

We could not part with Otto as a foal as we completely fell for him. He is golden inside and out, with a temperament to match his looks. Every time we look at Otto we fall more and more in love. He is everything and more than we could have hoped for. Otto was very tall at birth and has reached a height of 172cm (17hh) at teh age of 3,5 years. He has very long legs, an bautiful head and elegant conformation.

Otto was started under saddle as a 3 year old, has been introduced to carrying a rider  for approx 3 weeks before being turned out in the field to mature into his tall body for another 6 months. At the beginning of November 2021 Otto was brought back in from the field and continued his education under saddle. He iswas proving to be very easy to do, always willing to please and will continued his education with an international event rider in Germany. He was sold to the US and we are eagerly hoping to hear from his new owners. Please do reach out to us :-)

We went to meet his sire Zafferano and watched him under saddle. What an experience! He is breathtakingly stunning and we cant wait to see Zeiss (Otto) follow into his footsteps.
As we were so happy with Otto, we repeated this cross for another Zafferano x Lise foal in 2019. We were blessed with a divine Cremello filly.
Both Zafferano and Lise tested free from WFFS.
Otto therefore is free from WFFS too. His status is N/N
